Brian and Dawn are engaged! We are getting married on July 21st, 2007 at our church in Cedar Park/Austin, TX.

I am an eternally happy individual living just outside the greatest city in TX - Austin. I say eternally happy because that is what I choose to be. So far, it seems to be working out quite nicely. I have a great kiddo and share my life, time, and space with one of the single most amazing people I've had the pleasure of meeting. He renews my faith in humanity on a daily basis. Even the days I find a need to pelt him with jellybeans.

I read. Alot. I love people, their stories, their views, themselves. I do my best most days to make my mark on the universal energy be a positive one. More often than not, I believe I succeed. I love my cats - all freakin' five of the persnickety little balls of fur.

I seem to have become accustomed to this virtual community and its ability to connect, reconnect, and nurture my loves who are no longer near. Friends are the greatest treasure one can hope to obtain. (more interests & things HERE)

I'm a silly drunken geek. I think that about wraps up what I like to do in one little sentence. To feed these geekish desires and provide for the comestibles required for "drunken", I have a job, which doesn't bug me. I don't ENJOY it, but I don't HATE it. Thus, I'm ahead of half of America, at least. It pays acceptably well to cover the expenses and a few of the dreams of my family, which at present consists of one (1) Woman (Dawn), one (1) Girl (Alasen), and five (5) cats (Guinness, Belhaven, Dunkin, Joplyn, and Princess KiKi). Alasen is entering 4th grade this fall. She loves her cats, especially KiKi, and has been very active with several local rescue and education agencies. She has donated buckets of food, toys, and blankets on her birthday to celebrate, washed dogs at adoption events to help raise money, and walked in an awareness walkathon for animal rights and GLBT equality.

She enjoys reading nature/animal magazines and mystery novels. She also has a blast playing with her virtual animals on her Nintendo DS and her "friend" at EkoPlanet. Recently she has expressed more interest in her artistic side and would like to branch out from her avid drawing and story-writing and into ceramics and pottery. She is also considering possible cooking classes this fall as her interest in vegetarianism increases and she experiments with different ethnic cuisines. (though sushi is still her favorite!)
